Getting Older Doesn’t Have To Be The End Of The World

Aging with grace and dignity, is to be distinguished from languishing under infirmity and burden. Successful aging is about taking control of your life, embracing change, and implementing the measures that you need to take to deal with that change. The tips delineated below are a good start to doing just that.

One of the best ways on how to prevent and slow the aging process is by being happy. This can be done by filling your life with love and joy. A good habit is to practice stress relieving activities since stress contributes to speeding up the aging process. A happy person automatically has a happy body.

To have a healthy aging process, never stop teaching yourself new things. Learning is essential throughout your life.

As you get older, it’s more important than ever to surround yourself with people that make you happy, lift you up and do not bring you down. This can be accomplished by having a nice family dinner where everyone is involved or sharing good times and good memories with your favorite people.

Go easy on powder cosmetics and foundation to protect your skin as you get older. This is worse as you get older since your skin already requires additional hydration. Add easy-to-use cosmetics like mascara, eyeliner, and lip gloss into your anti-aging repertoire.

Stop multitasking! Your mind cannot function the way that it once did. You will find it easier and far less stressful if you do not try to accomplish as many things at once. Avoiding stress is important as you get older to avoid doing damage to your heart and your body.

Make sure you’re having regular checkups with your doctor. As you’re getting older, more and more things can go wrong with your body. If you’re visiting your doctor regularly, they can spot small problems before they turn into big ones. They’ll also be able to recommend changes to your routine to keep you looking younger and living longer.

Although everyone misplaces things and forgets things from time to time, no matter how old you are, if you notice that you or a loved on started being overly forgetful or misplaces items in strange places, it is time to talk to a doctor. Frequently forgetting things or placing everyday objects such as your car keys in the microwave or freezer is a cause for concern.

Eat well and healthily. Eating lots of fruits, vegetables, and whole wheats can help you against signs of aging and keep your body strong and protected. Also, drink a lot of water, up to eight glases a day. Finally, you should try to watch the amount of fat you eat. Keep the daily calories you get from fat under 35% and it should help you keep your body shape.

In conclusion, there are many aspects of aging. Some are good. Some are bad. Accept that and move on! The tips outlined in this article can pave your way towards that acceptance. More importantly, they can guide you to what measures you will need to implement, in order to make aging as pleasant, as possible.

I keep having end of the world scenario dreams about 2-3 times a week. This is the dreams I have had in the past week.
In the earliest one I can remember it is like something out of 28 days later, me and my boyfriend are hidden in our house but inside our house it is my mothers house (if that makes any sense). My mum and dad are no where to be seen so we look for them, they end up being hidden in the old coal bunker and covered in soot so I can’t tell if they are infected. It ends up that they are infected and I end up being bitten. Then I wake up.
The second one I am in my house alone and my next door neighbor is banging on the door screaming. She pulls me out the house and makes me look at the sky towards our nearest city. It looks like there is pink clouds falling from the sky, I take this as being a meteor shower. My boyfriend is out at this point and I am trying to get in contact with him. I can’t get a hold of him and I start thinking the worst. I turn the TV on and it is not a meteor shower but god has banished all the wicked in the land (I am not religious at all)and I have been spared. My living room window is adjacent to the pavement outside and the only door into my house is around the back. So I see the outline of my boyfriend through the closed curtains, he comes in and says, “That shop was crazy! You’d think it was the end of the world!” Then I wake up.
The last dream I have had in the past week was I was in a office with all my boyfriend family. These offices where secret headquarters for the UN but they looked like a hostel from the inside. This one was a zombie apocalypse that had gone crazy as the US decided to nuke the UK to stop the infection spreading. So we (myself, my boyfriend, his mum and sister) decided to venture from the secret headquarters due to a bad zombie attack to pick up my parents and get to his father who had found an old army shelter in the adjacent hillside that was camouflaged into the hillside. While we where leaving a small st. Bernard puppy was about to be eaten by a zombie and I managed to save the dog but I did not kill the zombie as it was my brother. We got out and went in to the nearest chemist and it was full of people waiting in queue. We went around the corner to a different chemist (this is what it is like in my town) we all had three backpacks and we filled them with different medicine, bottles of water and everything you could get in a chemist down to the plasters. A young woman was trying to get into the chemist to get some supplies but as we’d taken everything she got very angry and started to be hostile. Everyone had left me to deal with this so I started to hit her and kicked her in the face. I ran out towards my party and they where standing just around the corner telling me to hurry up. I get to them and we run out into the distance, then I wake up.
I don’t know if my subconscious is listening to all the background noise about the mayan calendar and just playing out in my dreams, but I’d like some interpretation of apocalyptic dreams.
